These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of Operator: the macOS app, the iPhone and Apple Watch apps, the relay, and operatorok.com (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
What Operator is
Operator is a control plane for AI coding agents. You run your own agents (such as Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, or others) on your own Mac. Operator lets you pause, approve, reject, and monitor what those agents do from your devices. You remain responsible for the agents you run and the actions you approve.
Accounts and beta
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and beta key confidential and for activity under your account. During the beta period, the Service is provided on a pre-release basis and may change, break, or be interrupted.
Subscriptions and billing
Operator offers a free tier and a paid plan, Operator Pro ($9.99/month), which may include a free trial. Subscriptions are sold and managed on our website and processed by Stripe. Paid plans renew automatically until canceled; you can cancel at any time through the customer portal, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Prices may change with notice.
The iPhone and Apple Watch apps are free and do not sell subscriptions or unlock paid features on their own.
Acceptable use
Don’t use the Service to break the law, infringe others’ rights, disrupt or attack the Service or its infrastructure, or attempt to defeat its security or approval controls. Don’t use it to supervise activity you are not authorized to run.
Your responsibility for agent actions
Operator is a supervision and approval tool. It does not write or execute your code; your agents do, on your machine. You are solely responsible for the commands you approve and their consequences. Policies and approvals are safeguards, not guarantees.
Intellectual property
We own the Service and its content. You retain ownership of your own code and data. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service under these Terms.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will catch every risky action.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Operator business is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. (Contact us if you need the specific jurisdiction.)
Changes
We may update these Terms; we’ll revise the “last updated” date and, for material changes, provide notice. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
